Team Electircal’s founder, Devin Bonnar, was born in Golden BC and settled in Camrose in 1978. He has lived in Camrose and Camrose County ever since.
Devin started in the electrical trade in 1989 with a large western Canadian electrical company. By 1994 he had completed his journeyman red seal and started working and project managing the electrical on large grain terminals, fertilizer plants and hog/chicken/dairy barns from Northern BC to Manitoba.
The early 2000’s saw Devin working largely around the central and Northern Alberta core, managing crews involved with work in residential, agricultural, commercial and oil/gas industries. In 2018, Devin started Team Electrical to provide these industries with a local/community minded electrical contractor.
Over the years he has attended many training sessions on safety, project management and business management. In addition, he obtained his Certified Master Electrician (CME) certificate as well as the Field Safety Representative (FSR) certificate for working in BC. He also undertakes regular business and electrical upgrading to stay current with changing products and codes. He attends regular meetings held by the Alberta Electrical Contractors Association of Alberta.
Devin is a past Board member of the Camrose Children’s Center and current President for the Battle River Rural Crime Watch Society. In addition, he has supported many not for profit groups, financially as well as volunteering, over the years. They include the Camrose Women’s Shelter, Camrose Association for Community Living, Camrose Open Door and the Re/Max Children’s Miracle Network.
Devin is happily married with five children who keep him busy with hockey, gymnastics, baseball and soccer.
